Mr. Magramane takes part in the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development in New York.

The ministerial segment of the annual session of the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development began today, 13 July 2026, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, with the participation of an Algerian delegation headed by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Lounès Magramane.

The proceedings of the Forum, which will continue until 15 July 2026, are being held under the theme: “Transformative, equitable, innovative and coordinated actions for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals for a sustainable future for all.”

Mr. Lounès Magramane is expected to present Algeria’s sustained efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals in accordance with the United Nations 2030 Agenda, as well as Algeria’s second Voluntary National Review, entitled: “Algeria: Towards a Future Based on Sustainability, Social Inclusion and Innovation.”
