Mr Magramane receives the Director General for the MENA region at the European Commission

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Lounès Magramane, received today, April 23, 2025, at the Ministry’s headquarters, the Director General for the Middle East, North Africa, and the Gulf at the European Commission, Mr. Stefano Sannino.

This meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the current state of relations between Algeria and the European Union and the prospects for strengthening them. On this occasion, both sides emphasized the importance of giving new momentum to these relations in all their political, economic, and human dimensions, with the aim of establishing a balanced partnership based on a "win-win" approach that can address the challenges facing the Mediterranean region.

The talks also allowed for an exchange of views and positions on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
