Mr. Magramane Presents in New York Algeria’s Second Voluntary National Review on Sustainable Development

Algeria continues its participation in the 2026 session of the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, where the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Lounès Magramane, presented today in New York Algeria’s second Voluntary National Review, as part of the follow-up and review mechanism for the implementation of the goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Mr. Magramane reviewed the main achievements made by Algeria, under the guidance of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, towards attaining the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals. He highlighted the progress achieved in diversifying the national economy beyond the hydrocarbon sector, accelerating the energy transition, expanding housing programmes, extending access to digital services and strengthening e-governance, as well as enhancing water security, upgrading the healthcare system, and promoting the inclusion of young people and women in economic and social development processes.
