Mr. Attaf Holds Talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in New York

Continuing his activities on the margins of his participation in the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Jeenbek Kulubaev. Mr. Ahmed Attaf extended his congratulations on the occasion of Kyrgyzstan's election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the term 2027–2028.

The Minister of State expressed Algeria's readiness to share its experience and expertise with the Kyrgyz side, in a manner that supports its efforts and enhances coordination and consultation on various issues on the agenda of this UN organ. For his part, Mr. Kulubaev expressed his country's interest in Algeria's experience within the Security Council, particularly regarding coordination within the A3 mechanism.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to review the course of bilateral relations between Algeria and the Kyrgyz Republic and to explore ways to strengthen them and expand their horizons in service of their mutual interests.
