Mr. Attaf Holds Talks with the Acting Executive Director of the World Food Program

Continuing his activities as part of his working visit to New York, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, held talks today with the Deputy Executive Director of the World Food Programme, Mr. Carl Skau. The two sides discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between Algeria and the World Food Programme aimed at addressing humanitarian needs and supporting the most vulnerable populations, particularly amidst escalating crises and their impact on food security, especially in Africa and the Middle East.

The two sides also discussed the severe challenges facing the Programme in Gaza, particularly with the approach of winter, as well as enhancing its efforts to ensure an effective response and to continue providing necessary support for the humanitarian needs of Sahrawi refugees.
