Mr. Attaf Holds Talks with Slovenia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs in New York

Continuing his activities on the margins of his participation in the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, met with the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, Mr. Tone Kajzer. The meeting provided an occasion to review the state of bilateral relations between Algeria and Slovenia. Both ministers expressed their satisfaction with the momentum characterising these relations, particularly following the opening of the embassies of both countries in Ljubljana and Algiers, and reaffirmed their shared commitment to continuing the path of strengthening these relations and expanding their fields.

The two ministers also addressed issues related to the Association Agreement between Algeria and the European Union and the necessity of ensuring its implementation in a manner that guarantees a balance of interests between both parties.

Furthermore, the two ministers exchanged views on a number of international and regional issues of mutual interest, as well as several items on the agenda of the United Nations.
