Mr. Attaf holds talks with Sierra Leonean counterpart

As part of his series of meetings with several of his counterparts in New York, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, held talks with his counterpart from the Republic of Sierra Leone, Mr. Mohamed Rahman Swaray. The two ministers exchanged views on the state of bilateral relations and prospects for elevating them to higher levels, as well as the importance of strengthening consultations on regional and international issues of common concern.

In this context, the two sides discussed the fruitful coordination between the two countries during their mandates as non-permanent members of the Security Council, particularly within the framework of the "A3" mechanism. The Minister of State also congratulated his Sierra Leonean counterpart on his country's valuable contribution as Chair of the African Union Committee of Ten Heads of State and Government on UN Security Council Reform (C-10).
