Mr. Attaf Holds Talks with Oman’s Minister of Foreign Affairs in New York

Continuing his intensive activities on the margins of his participation in the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, met with the Foreign Minister of the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, Dr. Badr Albusaidi. Both sides expressed great satisfaction with the level of excellent fraternal relations uniting the two brotherly countries.

On the economic front, the two ministers reviewed prospects and opportunities for joint investment as well as ways to strengthen the economic partnership between the two countries, particularly by leveraging their capabilities and potential. Special emphasis was placed on the direct maritime shipping link project, aimed at giving a strong impetus to commercial exchanges and broadening bilateral cooperation toward more diversified and integrated fields.

Furthermore, both sides praised the complete alignment of views between the two countries regarding regional developments in the Arab region, particularly in the Middle East, underscoring the importance of intensifying political coordination and consultation at all levels.
