Mr. Attaf Holds Talks with Namibia’s Minister of International Relations and Trade

Continuing his activities on the margins of his participation in the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, met with the Minister of International Relations and Trade of the sisterly Republic of Namibia, Ms. Selma Ashipala-Musavyi.

The talks allowed both sides to express their satisfaction with the level of excellent relations of fraternity and cooperation between Algeria and Namibia, which are grounded in a shared history and a rich legacy of common principles and values.

On this occasion, the two ministers commended the level of bilateral cooperation in the energy sector and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening it and expanding its prospects, particularly by supporting Namibia in valorizing its natural resources and developing its national capacities in this strategic sector.

The two parties also discussed the latest developments regarding the Western Sahara issue, reaffirming their support for the inalienable right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination, in accordance with the principles and resolutions of the United Nations.
