Mr. Attaf holds talks with his Ugandan counterpart

As part of his ongoing series of meetings with several of his counterparts in New York, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, held talks with Mr. Adonia Ayebare, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda. The two ministers discussed various aspects of bilateral cooperation and ways to enhance and diversify them to cover all priority areas for both brotherly countries, in line with the spirit of friendship and solidarity that unites them.

The two sides also addressed developmental issues and the importance of strengthening international cooperation to ensure the achievement of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, particularly for the countries and peoples of the African continent.

The meeting was also an opportunity to discuss the ongoing preparations for the Ministerial Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, planned to be held in Kampala before the end of the current year, and to emphasize the necessity of continued coordination and consultation between the two countries to ensure the success of this important event.
