Mr. Attaf Holds Talks with His Spanish Counterpart in New York

The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, met today in New York with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain, Mr. José Manuel Albares.

The meeting provided an opportunity to review the reality and prospects of deepening bilateral relations, as both sides expressed their satisfaction with the positive dynamics characterizing cooperation between Algeria and Madrid, particularly in the fields of energy, economic cooperation, and trade exchanges. The ministers also addressed ongoing preparations for holding the Algerian-Spanish High-Level Meeting scheduled for next October, which will feature a business forum bringing together business leaders from both countries.

On the regional and international levels, the two sides exchanged views on developments in the Sahel region and the prospects for enhancing political dialogue and development cooperation to contribute to consolidating security and stability in the countries of the region. They also touched upon developments in the Middle East and the importance of continuing coordination and consultation on all issues of mutual concern.
