Mr. Attaf Holds Talks with His Greek Counterpart in New York

On the second day of his participation in the high-level segment of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Giorgos Gerapetritis. The two ministers discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation relations, particularly in prospect of the upcoming visit by Mr. Gerapetritis to Algeria, aimed at exploring new opportunities for partnership and investment across various sectors, including infrastructure, renewable energy, water resource management, and maritime transport.

The two sides also discussed the implementation process of the Association Agreement between Algeria and the European Union, particularly in light of the obstacles facing Algerian exports accessing the European market, while emphasizing the necessity of addressing them within the mechanisms of the Association Agreement to ensure balance and mutual benefit for both parties.
