Mr. Attaf holds a phone call with his Egyptian counterpart

Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, held a phone call today, Friday, September 11, with Mr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates of the brotherly Arab Republic of Egypt.

The call focused on ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Algeria and Egypt across various sectors. Both ministers emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in economic and trade fields, and opening new prospects for partnership to serve the common interests of both brotherly countries and peoples.

The conversation also provided an opportunity to exchange views and consult on several regional issues of mutual interest. Both sides affirmed the importance of continued coordination and consultation, especially within the framework of the tripartite neighboring countries mechanism on Libya, to support efforts aimed at consolidating security and stability in the country and enabling the Libyan people to fulfill their aspirations for peace, stability, and development.

On this occasion, both ministers reaffirmed the importance of maintaining ongoing coordination and consultation between Algeria and Egypt regarding various Arab and African issues.
