Mr. Attaf had talks with his Portuguese counterpart

On the second day of his participation in the high-level segment of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, met with his counterpart from the Portuguese Republic, Mr. Paulo Rangel. The meeting provided an opportunity to review the state of the distinguished relations of cooperation and partnership between Algeria and Portugal, and to affirm the shared commitment of both countries to further strengthen and deep them across additional fields in service of their mutual interests.

The two sides also discussed the ongoing preparations for upcoming bilateral events and agreed on the importance of continued coordination and consultation to ensure their success.

The meeting was also an opportunity to exchange views on cooperation relations between Algeria and the European Union, as well as prospects for strengthening and developing them to the mutual benefit of both sides, alongside a number of international and regional issues of common interest.
