Commemoration of the National Day of the Mujahid

The Embassy of Algeria in Zagreb proudly commemorated on Wednesday, 20th August 2025, the National Day of the Mujahid, marking the dual anniversary of the North Constantinois offensive of 1955, where brave fighters rose against oppression, and the Soummam Congress of 1956, a historic moment that shaped the path of the Algerian Revolution.

The ceremony began with the raising of the national flag accompanied by the national anthem, followed by the laying of wreaths and the recitation of Al-Fatiha in memory of the souls of martyrs who offered the ultimate sacrifice for the dignity and independence of Algeria.
