Statement

Algeria strongly condemns the attack against a Saudi vessel while sailing in the Red Sea, which constitutes a flagrant violation of the principles of international law relating to freedom of maritime navigation in international waterways and poses a direct threat to security and stability throughout the region.

Algeria reaffirms its full solidarity with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia following this attack and stresses the need for the immediate cessation of such acts, which could jeopardize the safety of international trade and the smooth flow of energy supplies.

Algeria also calls for de-escalation and urges all parties to refrain from any conduct that could further heighten tensions in the Middle East.
