Mr.Attaf receives the General Secretary of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum

The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, received today at the Ministry's headquarters the Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), Mr. Mohamed Hammel.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and coordination on key issues and agenda items of the GECF, within the framework of implementing the significant outcomes of the Seventh Summit of Heads of State and Government held in Algiers in March 2024.

The two sides also addressed preparations for upcoming events and explored mechanisms to leverage them in support of strengthening the role of natural gas in achieving sustainable development and the global energy transition.
