Mr. Chaib Receives the Minister of State for Regional Cooperation of the Republic of Uganda

Today at the ministry headquarters, the Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the National Community Abroad, Mr. Sofiane Chaib, received the Minister of State for Regional Cooperation of the Republic of Uganda, Mr. Haruna Kasolo, who is paying a working visit to Algeria from August 26 to 31, 2026.

This meeting provided an opportunity to reaffirm the depth of the historical relations uniting the two brotherly countries, emphasizing the critical importance of strengthening them and expanding their horizons to reflect the wise vision of the leaders of both nations.

In this context, both sides praised the positive momentum of bilateral cooperation across various fields, stressing the need to give it fresh impetus, particularly in economic, trade, and agricultural exchanges.

The two parties also reviewed the implementation pace of programs and projects agreed upon during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uganda to Algeria in March 2023, at the invitation of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, while highlighting the importance of activating bilateral cooperation mechanisms to achieve the set targets.

In conclusion, both sides welcomed their alignment of views and shared positions regarding key regional and international issues of common concern addressed during the meeting.
