Mr Chaib holds, in The Hague, meeting with national community established in Netherlands

The Secretary of State in charge of the National Community Abroad, Mr. Sofiane Chaib, conducted a visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, where he met with members of the Algerian community residing in the city of The Hague.

This initiative falls within the framework of the state's commitment to maintaining continuous communication with this important segment of citizens. The visit provided an opportunity to attend the official announcement of the establishment of a new association for Algerians living in the Netherlands and to encourage the structured development of community-based organizations within the diaspora.

In the same context, Mr. Chaib highlighted the efforts made, under the directives of the country’s highest authorities, to strengthen the ties between the diaspora and the homeland, and to involve them in all aspects related to national development. He commended the initiatives led by Algerian professionals living abroad and the valuable role they can play in enhancing bilateral cooperation between Algeria and the Netherlands.

The interactive nature of the meeting also allowed for the discussion of various concrete initiatives and decisions taken in favor of our nationals abroad, which were well received by the community. Additionally, it served as a platform to listen to their views and concerns, with the aim of gradually addressing them in a way that meets the needs of Algerians living abroad.
