Mr. Attaf Holds Talks with the Iranian Foreign Minister

Continuing the series of meetings he is holding on the margins of his participation in the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Abbas Araghchi.

The meeting provided an opportunity to review fields of bilateral cooperation between Algeria and Iran, as well as ways to strengthen and expand them across various sectors.

In this context, Mr. Araghchi praised Algeria's role as a bridge for communication and cooperation at both the regional and international levels, where both sides agreed on the importance of continuing consultation and coordination on issues of concern to both countries.

The two ministers also addressed the latest developments in the Middle East region, emphasizing the necessity of ongoing dialogue between Iran and Arab states to end the state of conflict and promote political solutions that ensure sustainable peace and stability.
