TRANSLATION:

The Chargé d’Affaires of the French Embassy in Algeria was once again summoned today to the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the continued obstacles faced by the Algerian Embassy in Paris in the delivery and retrieval of diplomatic pouches, in violation of the French Government’s international obligations.

Initially limited to the Algerian Embassy in France, these obstacles have now been extended to Algerian consular posts, despite the commitment made by the Quai d'Orsay to reconsider this measure.

In strict application of the principle of reciprocity, the Director of Diplomatic Immunities and Privileges at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has proceeded with the withdrawal of all privileged access passes to Algerian ports and airports previously granted to the French Embassy in Algeria.
