Algeria has followed, with deep attention, the regrettable and strongly condemned events that took place today in Niamey, the capital of Niger.

Immediately upon learning of these events, Algeria reaffirmed to the highest authorities of the Republic of Niger its full solidarity and unwavering support, enabling the country to overcome this ordeal and work toward a swift return of stability to this brotherly nation.

Algeria reiterates its strong condemnation of such acts, which are likely to undermine the legitimate aspirations of the brotherly Nigerien people toward tranquility and development.
