As part of the commitment to maintaining continuous communication with members of the Algerian community abroad, the State Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, Mr. Sofiane Chaib, co-chaired an expanded meeting via videoconference today alongside the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-enterprises, Mr. Noureddine Ouaddah. The event was hosted by the Algerian Embassy in Riyadh and the Consulate General of Algeria in Jeddah, bringing together a group of Algerian citizens residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This event falls within the framework of periodic meetings organized with members of the national community in this brotherly country. It provided an opportunity to introduce the incentives and measures established by the state to support the developmental role of citizens living abroad. These initiatives encourage them to harness their expertise and skills in various fields related to innovation, startups, and entrepreneurship in their homeland, while also reviewing the latest updates on national policy in this promising sector.
During his address, the State Secretary reaffirmed the central importance that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its diplomatic and consular missions place on supporting and accompanying members of the community abroad and strengthening their connection to the homeland. He highlighted the ongoing effort to provide an optimal framework for supporting project holders and expatriate economic operators to actively contribute to the country's economic momentum.
For his part, the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-enterprises outlined the key incentives and measures introduced by the state to foster investment and entrepreneurship. He invited project holders and business leaders among the Algerian community in Saudi Arabia to take advantage of the promising opportunities offered by Algeria’s renewing business climate.
The meeting featured a presentation on the startup ecosystem and entrepreneurship in Algeria, followed by constructive discussions during which members of the national community reiterated their interest and readiness to contribute effectively to national development.
