The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, co-chaired this morning, September 9, 2026, alongside his Slovak counterpart, Mr. Juraj Blanár, the official inauguration ceremony of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Algeria.

The opening of the Slovak Embassy in Algiers marks a significant milestone in the development of bilateral relations, particularly following the opening of the Embassy of Algeria in the Slovak Republic in December 2025. This step reflects the shared commitment of Algeria and Slovakia to strengthening their mutual diplomatic presence, enhancing institutional communication, and opening new horizons for expanding bilateral cooperation across various fields.

On this occasion, the Minister of State delivered a speech praising the depth of relations between Algeria and Slovakia, emphasizing that consolidating mutual diplomatic representation will contribute to strengthening political dialogue, facilitating communication between institutional and economic actors, fostering joint initiatives, and deepening ties between the two friendly peoples.
