Mr. Attaf Holds Talks with the EU Commissioner for Preparedness, Crisis Management and Equality in New York

On the margins of his participation in the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, met with the European Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management, and Equality, Ms. Hadja Lahbib.

The two sides reviewed the state of the multidimensional cooperation existing between Algeria and the European Union and exchanged views on the means to develop and strengthen it in service of the priorities and mutual interests of both parties, particularly regarding crisis management and response to natural disasters.

Furthermore, Ms. Lahbib presented the European Union's experience in the field of humanitarian aid, especially in the African continent, commending the role played by Algeria and its traditional solidarity with neighboring countries in the Sahel-Saharan region across humanitarian and developmental spheres.
