Mr. Attaf Holds Talks with His Mauritanian Counterpart

Within the framework of the series of meetings he is holding on the margins of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug. The meeting allowed for reviewing and assessing the tracks of rich cooperation uniting the two countries across various fields and discussing ways to elevate it in accordance with the high directives of the leaders of the two countries, reflecting the depth of historic fraternal ties between the two brotherly peoples and responding to their shared aspirations for further progress and development.

The two ministers also exchanged views and analyses on developments in the African continent, particularly in the Sahel-Saharan region, emphasizing their keenness to continue consultation and intensify joint coordination mechanisms to unify stances and defend the vital interests of both countries in various international fora.
