Mr. Attaf Holds Talks with His Cypriot Counterpart in New York

On the second day of his participation in the high-level segment of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Constantinos Kombos. The two ministers reviewed the state of bilateral relations between the two countries and discussed ways to promote and expand them in service of their mutual interests.

The two sides also discussed the state of cooperation between Algeria and the European Union, exchanging views on effective ways to develop and strengthen it to serve the mutual interests of both parties.

The two sides also touched upon the situation in the Middle East and the implications of the developments in the Strait of Hormuz on maritime navigation.
