Mr. Attaf Holds Talks with the U.S. President’s Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs in New York

The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, met with Mr. Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor to the U.S. President for Arab and African Affairs, on the margins of his participation in the High-Level Segment of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the current state of bilateral relations, which are witnessing positive momentum, as well as ways to advance them toward broader horizons, particularly in the fields of energy, the economy, and intra-regional trade.

The two sides also touched upon a number of international and regional issues of mutual concern, particularly the situations in Libya, Sudan, and the Gulf region, emphasizing the necessity of working toward solutions to the crises affecting the region. The two parties further addressed developments in the Western Sahara file, agreeing to maintain consultation and coordination in this regard.
